Edinburgh Maternity Session overlooking Calton Hill

These two lovely souls were living just behind Calton Hill when we did our session, so we had the most beautiful photoshoot location right in their back garden! It was so special meeting Freya & Mike and to photograph the two of them whilst their sweet daughter was growing and kicking inside Freya. These months before two become three are full of anticipation, nerves, excitement, preparation, waiting… so much information and advice and you feel like you have all the time in the world but also barely any time at all! It’s a lot to be experiencing, and a huge leap into the unknown.

I love getting to spend time with people in this stage of life, it’s so great to be able to share experiences and encouragement, and to capture them whilst they’re still two. You’ll look back at these photos, at the bump, and think, ‘it was you all along’ and it will make it that much more special.
