Cramond Beach Family Session at Golden Hour
Gemma booked me to capture this season in her life whilst she was still pregnant with her sweet Thomas, which I love, because it’s always so excited getting to chat about a session and plan everything out before baby is born, and then when they arrive hearthside it’s just so sweet seeing it all come together. Meeting them it’s always like ‘of course it was you all along we were talking about’.
Crmaond Beach is definitely one of my favourite breaches in Edinburgh. The way the sun sets behind the trees and the golden light hits the water, the multitude of dogs running around at any given time of day, the fact that it’s so family friendly & that one ice cream van that is always there come rain (or snow) or shine! It’s not just a great location for a photoshoot, it’s also such a lovely place for a family day out, a slow Sunday stroll, or an adventure with the kids, because the beach lies right by the River Almond which you can walk along for however long you fancy! It’s such a pretty walk, there’s wild garlic growing along the path, and you always run into friendly faces.
Around 4pm, Gemma, Matt, and their sweet Tommy & pup Jackson met me by the beach and we took a stroll together and took some photos along the way, documenting these precious moments in their life with their newest little member. Here are some of my favourite photos that we captured…
