Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer? We offer elopement photography and videography across Scotland, as well as storykeeping sessions, which include couples sessions, family sessions, maternity sessions and newborn sessions. We mostly work on location in the gorgeous landscapes that Scotland has to offer, including Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands, Glencoe, and the Isle of Skye.
How do I get started?Take a look through our portfolio to see some examples of our work. Whether you’re looking for scotland elopement photography, family photography, or something else, you can reach out to us via our contact form and we will get back to your shortly! If you are planning a Scotland elopement, have a read over our ‘How To Elope in Scotland’ page for more information to help you get started.
What makes you different? We are a married couple who work together as a photography and videography team, we have two (almost three!) beautiful kiddos, and we have travelled not only Scotland but a lot of the world together, too. We’ve been together for almost half of our lives now (15 years!) and we have experienced such a profound journey together. We are both so passionate about art and memories and love and family, and we pour that passion into our photography. We value authenticity, memory keeping, and storytelling, because we have seen the impact in our own lives and how special these milestones really are. We treasure each and every elopement and each and every family we get to capture.
What if I need to reschedule? We always try our best to reschedule whenever we need to, and we only ever book in a maximum of 2-3 sessions per week, which means in any given week, we do have a few days we can work around to reschedule sessions. We know that with travelling (especially travelling with kids!) things come up and change often, and we are intimately aware of that within our own family life, so we will always try to be accommodating to that.
What if it rains? We’re in Scotland - chances are, it will rain! We just embrace it. When you choose a Scotland elopement, or any other kind of session in Scotland, you’re choosing Scotland. That means taking her in all her rainy glory!! I often find rainy sessions tend to create the most memorable and dramatic galleries, and we always have so much fun!
When it comes to family sessions, I will reschedule if the weather seems to be bad or the rain will be too inconvenient (for example, with small children and babies). I always put my clients’ comfort first1 Oftentimes we can wait out a storm and shoot later that day, but please do chat through any weather worries you may have and we can come up with the best plan for you!
Do you offer help with planning an elopement in Scotland? For elopements, we are happy to offer advice on planning. For example, we can send through a list of suppliers we frequently work with, as well as recommend locations and timings for the day. We don’t currently offer a full elopement planning service, but any questions you may have we are happy to answer. We know that most of our clients are planning a Scotland elopement from abroad, and for many of you, it could be your first time visiting Scotland. I’m sure it all feels very overwhelming! We always do our best to make sure you feel comfortable and have a direction to go in to get the day planned out.
