The Romance Preset
This preset is the one that I’m using for all of my sessions now in 2025. It is a true-to-life preset with slightly muted tones, with an emphasis on bringing out the colours of nature. This preset has been developed through editing multiple sessions in the Scottish Highlands, and my desire to create a nostalgic, cinematic preset that gives images a timeless and romantic feel.
This pack also contains a black and white version of the Romance preset, which I use in every single gallery lately. Black-and-white images are so important to me; they strip away distractions and hone in on emotion, and sometimes you just feel that an image truly shines in black and white.
A pack of 12 variations of the same preset, including one black and white preset. The Romance Preset is true to life with an edge of moodiness, favouring natural colours and leaning into greens, browns and blues. My goal with this preset was to keep images as true to what it really felt like to be there in that moment, but to add an artistic twist that leans moody and smooth.
Romance Preset Pack
This pack consists of one colour preset, with three variants for different lighting environments. There is also a black and white preset included in this pack. I capture my sessions with auto white balance, mostly because most of my sessions involve very young children who move fast, and I’d much rather spend my time thinking about composition and being present with my clients than adjusting camera settings, so I try to use my camera as minimally as possible!
I created this preset with this in mind, with each preset being built from the same base preset and with different adjustments to account for different lighting, colours and white balance. This streamlines my editing workflow and makes it much easier for me to be creative with my cropping and stylistic edits rather than spending lots of time colour correcting.

In short, the Scottish Highlands. Every time I get out there, I feel like i’m in a movie, or a music video, and I wanted to create a cinematic preset that encapsulates that feeling.
