THP Preset Pack

This is my workhorse of a preset pack! I have been building these presets slowly and intentionally over the past year or so as I’ve been editing my own galleries. They are the foundation for every photo I edit, and never session that I deliver and I’m so excited to be sharing them with the world.

My editing style is true to life, and these presets reflect that. for sunny sessions, they bring out warmth, colour and light, and for sessions shot in the middle of storms, they bring out dark clouds and cool tones. The pack as a whole can be seen as one entity, with each preset being a variation of the others, with the same base. This way, each preset can be used throughout any gallery, depending on the lighting, colours, weather, and what it is that’s being photographed.

This pack also contains my trusty black and white presets which I use in every single gallery. Black and white images are so important to me, and the black and white presets I’ve built are made to enhance the emotion in an image.

THP Preset Pack

This pack consists of 11 colour presets and 3 black and white presets. I capture my sessions with auto balance, mostly because most of my sessions involve very young children who move fast and I’d much rather spend my time thinking about composition and being present with my clients than adjusting camera settings, so I try to use my camera as minimally as possible!

I created this preset pack with this in mind, with each preset being built from the same base preset and with different adjustments to account for different lighting, colours and white balance. This streamlines my editing workflow and makes it much easier for me to be creative with my cropping and stylistic edits rather than spending lots of time colour correcting.

Two of the colour presets are more fun and colourful, inspired by nostalgia and the warm kiss of the evening summer sun.

My goal with editing is always to preserve memories and to enhance anything that stood out during the session. My editing style is very true to life and these presets reflect that. The variety of presets included int his pack give room o enhance what it truly felt like on the sessions, whether that’s cold heavy rainclouds, bright warm sunshine, highly contrasted shadow and light, deep emotion, pouring rain, thick fog, crystal clear water… whatever it was that stood out during the session, my goal for these presets is to give you the flexibility to enhance these things whilst editing the rest of the image fairly true to life.
My inspiration for these presets comes from every client I have connected with over the years, every beautiful location in Scotland that I have captured, every weather event that has stopped us in our tracks and forced our creativity out of the box we’ve put it in, every scraped knee during a session, every tear fallen, every head flung back in laughter and every intimate embrace. I capture real life and these presets have facilitated the preservation of so many beautiful and precious memories.
There will be a tutorial included within the download once you’ve purchased the pack which will show you how to import the presets into Lightroom CC. These presets are .xmp files and are not compatible with Lightroom Mobile.
